Reaping What You Sow

Time is moving fast. Have you noticed? January 2016 started and now we are at the end of July. The time has flew by like a buzzing bee on a mission. I can barely remember what happened in February, March, or April of this year. It is as if we are in a fast funnel nearing the spit our point.

While time is moving at a rapid rate so is the harvest. What harvest? Each and everything you do or even say is a seed towards a harvest you will have to reap in your life.

I have heard it said, “I am going to act how they act or say what they say.” Well, this is not in right alignment of the scripture. The word of God tells us to “do unto others as we would have them do unto us.” It also tells us that we will reap what we sow. If you are paying close attention, you will see that the very things you sow you are reaping them within a very short period of time.

I have noticed. Being transparent, I said something I was thinking aloud, and yes, it was a little unkind (being a pseudo-comedian). Not to any great degree of hurt or pain, but it was noticeable. I did repent immediately and I asked forgiveness. Nevertheless, it came back. That very level of unkind words where sent back my way within a few days. I did not like it at all. In the very moment I started to cry to the Lord about the words spoken, He reminded me of what I had already done. In like manner, I did some very kind things for which I reaped a harvest. As I received the blessings, God reminded me of my kindness and acts of giving that evoked this harvest. One was financial and the other was service.

My point, the harvest is moving equally as fast as time. Be mindful of what you say to people, how you say it, and what you do. You will reap whatever it is that you sow. Now, the time in which the harvest is manifesting is at a rapid rate.

Warning: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Take note of the following scriptures:

Job 4:9 “Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.”

Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Luke 6:31 “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”

True Worship

You cannot worship God with what you do and don’t do or with what you say and don’t say for His word declares that those worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth. You can only truly worship God being your authentic self. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” You have to move pass situations, circumstances, flesh, and idols of the world to worship God. In your day to day, your authentic self should always lead, not your flesh. Knowing the difference keeps you in a place of worship before the Lord not matter what you are doing or saying.

Power of John 3:16

I am remembering this great scripture John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Looking at this word tells me that God loves His creation so deeply that He bored a Son who He gave up for sacrifice for His creation. It also tells me in a deep way that all you have to do is believe, your sentence of soul destruction is removed, and in an instant, you possess everlasting life. It (the everlasting life) starts from the moment you truly believe.

In all that we put our hands to do, we must not forget to stop and get the time we need to be the best we can be, holding all things together by spending that time in the presence of the Lord. There is nothing more important to your existence than spending time with God. It does not matter how your day is scheduled to go or how you feel. NOTHING is more important than the time you spend with God. I have been doing so many things over the last few months; vacationing and traveling back and forth from one place to another. I was physically and mentally exhausted. I started to feel like I was missing something and I realized that because of the late nights and the late risings I had not been spending time in the presence of the Lord, as I should. I realized that I was really missing God. I realized the importance of spending time with Him every day is important to the progression and success of my day to day. I understood just within a few days’ time how I truly missed His touching of my soul. Now, I discovered that even just a couple of minutes make a great difference in my day. Although, I talk to God all through the day, I need that focused time of pure meditation on His Goodness and Love. Success comes day to day and without that, time of meditation (Joshua 1:8), frustration, and other unhappy encounters is the order of the day.

Stagnation has No voice….

First I would like to say, God is so big He can literally speak through many avenues. Let me share my short story. I got dressed on a Sunday afternoon, preparing to run to the store and pick up some last minute ingredients for dinner. By the time I was about to go out the door my mom who was visiting has already finished dinner. So, I stood there with free time wondering what to do next. I walked out of my door and realized it was a nice day. I started walking and walking…putting one foot in front of the other; just going. I came to the neighborhood creek or brook which has a over pass over it. I peered over the over pass looking down at the brook. It was still. It had no sound. I immediately thought of stagnation. I stood there for a moment and watched as gnats and flies flew over what seemed like a dead brook. I decided to cross the street and peer over the other side of the overpass. On this side, I could hear the brook raged with excitement as the water ran over the rocks. Water splash up in the air as it moved on its way. I could hear the Lord say, “it has a voice.”

Isaiah 58:1 “Cry aloud, spare not;

Lift up your voice like a trumpet;

Tell My people their transgression,

And the house of Jacob their sins.”

When you are stagnant you produce no sound, no fruit and have no relevance to no one. Who can hear your truth, if you are silent; If you are still?  In the moments that I was observing raging, babbling brook, I discovered the relevance of movement. Movement has a sound. It has a voice. It cries out its purpose and show forth its trust in the Lord. Faith without works is dead because there is no movement. The brook was compelled to declare its existence in the earth. I recognized it and understood its purpose here.  Movement has a strong desire to fulfill its purpose by telling of the goodness of Jesus in whatever form it (movement) was designed to tell it. Faith must have movement. We must produce movement. What is your cry? What is your purpose? How will you moving on that purpose and be heard? Stagnation (stale or foul from standing (doing nothing) motionless) has no voice…

I have been thinking on this blog for several weeks. As I was moving about my day, I kept hearing the Lord speak this word to me; “anchors”. I could hear Him explaining to me what they were. Spiritual anchors…I had a vision of burlap bag sitting on the streets of the early biblical days. All around was gravel and rocks. In the vision it seemed to me I was standing at or around Jacobs well. I saw the bag and walked up to it. Somehow I knew I had to pick the bag up; it was mines to carry. It looked like it did not have much if anything in it. It looked easy to carry. I grabbed the top of the bag to pick it up and swing it over my shoulder. When I tried to pick it up the bag did not leave the ground. Inside the bag were two large rocks. God spoke to me and said these are anchors. He said you have to get rid of the anchors in order to ascend and move to the next level. The Lord began to reveal what anchors are. He Said, “Anchors Are People, Places, and Things.” Anchors are both spiritually and naturally manifestations of People, Places and Things. It is the desire of God for us to ascend into His presence (Psalm 24:3-4), into our God designed purposes and into our spiritual maturity (authentic self). It is monumentally important to know when to hold on and when to let go. Rip fruit has to move on to the next stage of the process or else it will rot. Know how to let go when it is time.
